THE CURRICULUM
MODULE 1: Learn The Core Principles Of What Makes Up a Sound
In Week 1, we break down what it means to have an “Artist Sound” and do a deep dive into identifying exactly how you have been personally impacted by your own musical influences.
MODULE 2: Define Your Own Overall Artist Sound
Your entire life will be flipped upside down (in a good way!) in Module 2. Even if you feel like your sound is pretty fleshed out already, you’ll be shocked at all the specific details revealed to you about who you are and what makes up your Artist Sound. Using proprietary blueprints and systems, you’ll discover which styles, genres, instruments, effects, and emotional components go into your unique and authentic sound. This isn’t fluffy, vague, or cute training. This is a trusted methodology that will show you how to become the artist you want to be - and most importantly, FEEL like it too. Week 2 includes receiving your Artist Blueprint™.
MODULE 3: Effectively Articulating Your Sound To Others & Producers
In Week 3, we’ll break down Production Terminology, so you can feel confident about working with producers. We’ll work with you to build your Artist-Sound Library™ full of audio references & clips that represent the exact sounds you like. You’ll get the precise terminology to describe what you want for your music to fans, industry folks, and producers.
MODULE 4: Craft Your Story
In Week 4, you’ll meet 1-on-1 with Emily to craft your Artist Story and learn how to convey your authentic self to match your Artist Sound. Create your own Heroine’s Journey Map and gain the ability to capture an audience through what is unique and compelling about you.
MODULE 5: Build Your Artist Brand Identity
In Week 5, you’ll create your Artist Style Guide and Brand Identity Handbook, piecing together the visual aspect of your sound, known as your “Artist Image” and “Brand Story”.
MODULE 6: Social Media & Content Creation
In Week 6, we’ll identify common themes for your social media content that match your sound/brand and get inspired to connect with your audience through this medium. Get your Content Creation Master Guide to easily and consistently create content that’s authentic to you and take the guesswork out of social media posting.
MODULE 7: Schedule Your Life as an Artist
Stop walking aimlessly through your day filled with stress and anxiety. In Week 7, you’ll create your Life Workspace to create a system for your life, so you can have happier, more productive days that get you closer to your goals.
MODULE 8: Create Your Artist Mastery Guide
In Week 8, we pull it all together with your Artist Mastery Guide. You’ll join your fellow FYSA cohort members to show off your Guide and have the tools to confidently describe your sound, who you are as an artist, and what you what for your music.

Meet Your Mentor
Hi! I'm Emily, I live in Nashville, TN and I founded Find Your Sound Accelerator. I know how it feels to try to define your sound as an artist - I was just a songwriter struggling to get the sound I wanted for my songs and working with producers who didn’t deliver the goods.
I knew what I liked when I heard it, but I quickly learned a hard lesson: you can hear it in your head all day… but unless you know who you are as an artist and how to articulate what you want to others, your music isn’t going to turn out the way you hope it will.
So I set off on a mission to learn everything I could about artist development in an effort to solve the problem for myself, and others. I spent YEARS building relationships with the best up and coming producers around the world and learning everything I could about artist-producer collaboration...
In my search to master everything about creating and Artist Sound, eventually I was able to create songs that sounded like me - while only working with producers who understood what I was going for. And everyone started asking how I did it, and how they could do it too.
So, I put together a program to teach my signature methodology that has allowed me to help songwriters and artists all across the world become confident in their sound and create songs that sound like them — without having to know everything about music production. That is how ItyDity and the "Find Your Sound Accelerator" was born!
